Ray Sexton (owner) started painting at the age of 16 after school and during summer breaks.
After high school, he attended Tennessee Wesleyan College where he began working with a commercial painting company over holidays and during summer break. After college Ray went to work with Whittle Communications as a Client Presentation Specialist but became unemployed at the beginning of Whittle’s downfall. Not one to sit around waiting for the next “good thing”, Ray reached out to the commercial painter he worked with during college and remained with them until they closed their doors in 1989. During that time Ray did residential painting and eventually branched into doing commercial painting.
